'Drawing Station' involved the 200 odd child participants of Newcastle-u-Lyme Summer Playschemes programme.

Ian designed the project and built the display box/workstation primarily from the scrap pile of the Apedale heritage centre.

Fellow artist Joanne Ttikkorrou was recruited, and both led line drawing workshops on 'heritage' subjects for Under 11's, such as penny farthings and phones with cords!

Resulting drawings were chosen, and scratched into purpose cut perspex strips. These were later assembled into a unit lit with integral HF tube lighting designed to make the drawings glow.

The cost of the project was met by the Paul Hamlynn Foundation and the Borough Council.
